Don’t have time for MSN

It’s been probably around six months since I turned on my MSN.

I feel slack for neglecting my chat pals but I’ve been busy working on my blogs and when I’m on a roll, I don’t like to be disturbed otherwise I lose my focus. Maybe I should set a time for MSN so I get a chance to have a chat through the day.

My kids have got me added on their buddy lists and as soon as they see me sign in, they bug me with silly messages. I’ve been known to block them and then I hear “hey! you blocked me!”

Well, the blovk button is there for a reason…lol

Be safe when travelling

A friend of mine and her boyfriend are travelling to India for a 3 week holiday soon and we were chatting online about her plans. Her main concern was making sure she had her travel health insurance fixed up because the last time she went overseas, she got so sick, she was hospitalised. Luckily she was fully covered by her insurance then too. She said that she would have hated to think what would have happened if she wasn’t insured.

Shutting the weather out

During summer, this house is like a sauna and from one extreme to another, during winter, it feels like I’m living in an igloo! I was thinking how nice it would be to get roller shades on the house so I could shut the sun out and keep the house cool. And then of course, when winter comes we’ll be able to keep the house nice and warm and keep the yucky, cold weather out.

Don’t drink coffee…

…but I LOVE the smell of coffee.

I love walking past the coffee shops and smell the delicious aromas wafting out of the shop. But I can’t stand the taste of coffee. Is that strange? I’m a tea-drinker. I usually drink black tea but I do enjoy herbal teas occasionally, especially orange tea and I found a yummy peach flavoured tea that is really nice.

I have been looking at coffee makers though because I want to get one with one of those steamer things to make frothy hot chocolate. Mmmmm, yum!

Are you a coffee or tea drinker?

Junk mail

I love junk mail - you know, the kind that gets put into your “real” mailbox. Even if I don’t have any money to go on a shopping spree, I still like to go through the pamphlets and mentally add things to my wishlist.

Just like my kids, I still circle things in the junk mail and leave them sitting on the kitchen bench for “someone” to take the hint as to what I would like…lol

The game’s on!

We received an invitation to our friend’s 40th birthday. The theme is a beer pong tournament. I had no idea what beer pong was so I did a quick google (I mean search) to find out what it is. Apparently the aim is to shoot ping pong balls into cups of beer. I found a website that sells beer pong tables too! That’s too funny!

Membership only

Everyone likes to save money, right? So when I read about directbuy, I thought this was a good idea. It’s a members-only showroom that is only available to you after you pay membership dues allowing to save loads of money on merchandise at manufacturer prices. It would be great to furnish your home with items bought at the same prices as merchandisers and retailers without the astronomical mark-up!

I’ll be 34 this May.

My mum was 34 when she passed away (14 years ago) in result of a car accident.

To me, it feels strange to be almost reaching the last age my mother was.

Editted to add: Thanks to the commenter who reminded me I’m 34 this year and not 35…lol
