What’s the time?

I don’t have much luck with watches. I don’t know if I have some sort of chemical reaction thing happening in my body but I’ve owned a couple of watches that stop working as soon as I wear them. At first I thought the batteries were faulty so I had them replaced but the same thing happened!
So when I was asked if I wanted to go looking at luxury watches, I was a bit wary because I was worried that every watch in the shop would stop and it would be my fault…lol
Have watches stopped for you like that? Or is it just me?!
Rising prices

I have to admit that I don’t know all that much about the financial world. I know NOTHING about stocks and oil prices and economic things like that. But what I do know is that some of the outer banks here in Australia are starting to feel the economic pinch because of what is happening in the US and other places around the world. Prices are rising so quickly that I’m concerned that we are going to have trouble affording everyday items like groceries and other necessities.
On my wish list

I’ve decided what I want for my birthday!
This afternoon I had to go to the bank which is located inside the local shopping centre. I rounded a corner when I was almost knocked down by a young girl wearing skate shoes with little wheels on the bottom of them. I thought that they’d be so cool to wear while doing the grocery shopping. I could just glide around the shop pushing my shopping trolley……
OK, maybe not…but they did look fun! LOL
Boosting the memory

Wouldn’t it be great if, when you find that your body is starting to slow down and you are not remembering as much as you used to, that it was just a matter of going to the store and buying some memory and installing it into your brain. I’m already finding that I could be going to the other side of house to get something only to find that when I get there, I have forgotten what it was I was getting! If it’s happening now, what am I going to be like when I’m old?!
Daydreaming

It’s not often that I have a chance to just sit and daydream but when I do, I like to imagine what my perfect house would look like. One thing that I would absolutely LOVE in my perfect home would be a room just for a home theatre!
There’s nothing like watching movies on a big screen while sitting in luxurious chairs that can recline to your liking. I think I’d even add a popcorn machine and I’ve seen some nice home theater sconces that would finish off the room perfectly.
Hmm, maybe I can turn one of the kids’ bedrooms into a home theatre after they all grow up and move out!
What’s going on?

I mentioned on one of my other blogs how a friend of ours always talks “geek speak” to me and I have no idea what he’s talking about - so now I get a phone call from a girl friend saying that this mutual friend has started doing it to her now and he gave her the same spiel about patch panels and stuff! It must be his new hobby or something…lol
List maker

I’m a list maker. I have lists for almost everything I do and I can almost always be found with a notepad and pen in my hand or next to me. At the moment, I’ve been working on a list of games ideas for my sister’s baby shower. I’ve found some great ideas online! I’m also working on a list of gift ideas for Christmas because I like to start Christmas shopping early. It seems that a blogger pal of mine (you know who you are) is interested in lists too and has been SO helpful by sending me a list of best diet pills available. This was after I said that I wasn’t interested in taking any pills and really want to try losing weight naturally if I can.
Making time to lose weight

I’m finding it difficult to set aside some time in the day to exercise. I have all good intentions in the morning and tell myself, okay today I’m going to do 30min on the abswing. I mean 3 mins isn’t a long time. I st and watch Bold and Beautiful - why don’t I do it then? I read today on a friend’s blog that she was thinking of trying Orovo. I’m interested to see if it works for her and what type of results it gives her.

Insurance for your kids?
Filed Under money | Leave a Comment
I know that I’m meant to be using this blog as a “me” blog but I was just wondering if any of the “mommy bloggers” who read this blog have children’s life insurance for their kids. DH and I both have insurance because we figure that if anything happens to us, the kids will be financially okay but I never thought about getting insurance for the kids. Is this common? Do a lot of people do this?
