That’s how I felt this morning. I didn’t want to do any housework, I didn’t want to referee the argument that was happening between DS16 and DD12 over the computer and I certainly didn’t want to have to think about making meals.

Luckily, DH was home today so some of the housework did get done, the argument was settled and I had a tomato sandwich, a cup of tea and the mail placed in front of me at lunch time.

So, you want to know what I did most of the morning? I did what I felt like - I took my time having a shower and getting dressed, got my pillow and blanket, snuggled up on the couch and played on my laptop.

Thanks to my darling husband, I was able to complete a few assignments, respond to some emails, look into getting some advertising pens with my blogs’ names on it and blog without having to close my laptop and deal with "life".

So it’s great to know now that there are pregnancy tests available, like PREGNOW, that can be used as early as 7 days after the day of conception to see if you’re pregnant. It doesn’t matter that the plant can be self sufficient, the hardiest plant ever and can be almost impossible to kill, you can be guaranteed that if I am meant to be looking after it, it will die within a week.

This is why it has been recommended to me by those whose names will not be mentioned that I should decorate our home in fake foliage and silk flowers.

Yeah, that’s all well and good but that means that I would need to dust them and I don’t do dust.

Ever since I heard our friend talk about one of his security jobs where he had to be a bouncer at an 18th birthday party and everyone was dressed as pros and pimps, I thought that it would be so cool to throw a party like that!

I even went so far as to check out sexy costumes and cool looking pimp suits but then I remembered the kids and thought "how am I going to pull this off with the kids?"

I don’t think I’m going to be able to pull it off unless I wait until they are all over the age of at least 16? But then, of course, by the time they’re all that age, they’ll be so grossed out by the thought of all of us "oldies" dressed as pimps and pros, that they probably won’t turn up anyway…LMAO

How I would love to go on a holiday with my girlfriends and all of us be able to let our hair down and have fun without having to worry about the kids or the "husbo’s".

But alas, I can’t see that happening any time soon and to be honest, I’d miss MY husbo and kidlets too much to be away from them for too long.

Maybe I should plan a family cruise instead…lol

I’m sick of going into the bathroom after the kids (or DH) have been in there and the floor is saturated or the toilet roll is empty or the hand towel isn’t "the way I put it".

I’d make my bathroom a kid and husband-free zone. I’d have pretty candles and it would be pink, all pink!

I was looking at bathroom makeover websites and I saw a lot of the "after" photos featured Danze faucets. Very classy!

It would be so nice to be able to walk into my bathroom and find everything exactly where I left, no tripping over bath toys and no stinky towels left on the floor.

Just thinking about what I need to get done today is making me exhausted! Someone please find my fairy godmother and tell her to bring me some energy, and strength (maybe some prohormones or vitamins or something.

On second thoughts, let me have that snooze on the lounge and then I’ll get stuck into what I need to do.

Friday night in this house is "boys’ night" which means DH has a few friends over to play cards or darts or to just have a few beers and a chat. They usually sit in the dining room (where the dart board is currently hanging) so I usually shut the door between the dining room and living room so firstly, they don’t sound so loud (!) and secondly, I try to keep the kids from running in and out of the dining room because I’d rather them not hear the "colourful language" that sometimes can spill out of the boys’ mouths!

So, usually I’m folding laundry or finding something else that needs to be done or tending to the baby or refereeing the feral teenagers while they try to kill each other!

But tonight? The boys are quiet (hmm, not sure if that’s good or not!), the baby is toddling around, playing with her toys next to me, one of the teenagers is sleeping at a friends’ house and the rest of the kidlets are in their bedrooms, either playing on the PS2 or on the computer.

And here I was thinking that I was going to have to contact some laughlin hotels (I think that’s far enough away to have peace!) so I can book some quiet! I wonder how much quiet costs these days.
